THE TELL TALE HEART BY EDGAR ALLAN POE
In this story I felt it was more in dept with the idea of murder more so like the story "A ROSE FOR EMILY". The main character/narrator was very shy and but he was spying on his victim as for a rose for Emily she was engaged and she spent time and knew her victim well. I felt that this story was good enough to recommend to someone who likes a short but chilling and story.

A ROSE FOR EMILY BY WILLIAM FAULKNER
I fet that this story was more on the sad/psychotic note then any thing else. I was not at the very least shocked because of the other stories but it was interesting. Emily needed help but at that time it wasnt as open for being crazy as it is now. Sad to say she needed help...
I would recomend it to someone who likes chilling stories.
CATHEDARL BY RAYMOND CARVER
In the story it begins with the husband who happens to be in the story as well telling it first in the past to present and from event to event. I felt that the story was a bit prude at first with the narrator being so mean to the blind man but then at the end he began to see things just as beautiful as "Robert" the blind man. I would recomend the story to people who judge quickly.
THE STORM BY KATE CHOPIN
This short story was a good read. It started off in a different mood then some of them. The wife/mother and her old friend cheated on the suposes with each other it was a griping and intresting story. I would recomend it to some one who likes stories that arent to detailed in a frisky since.
A SOUND OF THUNDER BY RAY BADBURY
I felt that the stories main concept was the butterfly effect in which one little change in ur past and effect the furture for all of us. I felt that it had a good meaning over all and that it was just a interesting idea for a story. I would recomend it to any one who likes a slow intro.

CINDERELLA BY ANNE SEXTON
In many ways you can see the that this is not the story that we are all used to reading as we were growing up. Its a bit more peculiar for example instead of the sisters trying to force the shoe on one of them cuts off her big toe in order to fit the shoe. Which is a big wake up call to what is normal in the traditional Disney movie. I would recommend this story to show what some women would do to please there self's.
Oedipus the king by Sophocles
I felt that the play was a bit of a slow take off. Meaning that it took some time for the play to capture my attention. It seemed as if it was moire of a sad musical and a tragic play. I didn't like it and I would not recommend it to any one if they do not like Greek plays.

"THE FISH" BY ELIZABETH BISHOP
I felt like the poem was really long like never ending. I hated the fact that the poet wrote it and it didn't sound like a poem it was more like a short story than what it was. It was a lot of Imagery which I did like but I didn't like the words she used to describe the fish. I wouldn't recommend this poem.

"THE YELLOW WALLPAPER" BY Charlotte Perkins Gilman
I felt all through out the story the woman was looking for the help of her husband to let her be free. She wanted nothing more but to feel and be normal for her family. She also wanted to be strong for her husband, she wanted him to let her express her self in her writing and letting her get the room near the garden, she wanted to feel how she felt before the baby. When she stepped into the room with the yellow wall paper she felt weirded out and afraid mostly because she was alone and second because of the wall paper it self. I would really recommend this story to any mother going through post part-arm depression after having their first child I would hope it would make them think at least they don't live in a room with creepy yellow wall paper.
